Due to an update to Umbrella Cloud Security Gateway, connections to our licensing server and TopoShare server are being blocked by the firewall and causing various problems across our software platforms.
Symptoms
TopoDOT will output the error: Unexpected License Response followed by the response. Provided TopoDOT has validated with our licensing at least once, this should then check out the offline license, which is valid for up to 14 days.
Resolution
In order to resolve the issue with Umbrella Cloud Security, our domain that handles our licensing checks and TopoShare API, certainty3d.com, needs to be whitelisted. If you wish to future-proof the whitelisted domains as well, we will be moving our licensing and TopoShare API to the topodot.com domain some time in the future.
